WALKING CANES BY KEY |
|
|
|
|
First I would
like to thank God for this Folk Art and Mr. Allen second. Walking canes made
from limbs of the Sassafras Branches left after the leaves are pulled so
there is no waste of the tree itself, also will make canes from Red Cedar
and other types of wood. This Folk Art was taught to me by Mr. David
Allen from Homer, La who has been making canes since he was a young boy and
has been for about the last sixty or sixty-five years or more and he has
Canes in the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. I stared on September 9, 2001
and finished my first cane on September 11, 2001 which was a present
to myself for my Ten Years in Recovery and also the same day the Plane Crash
into the World Trade Building in New York, N.Y.
